DrawingPost was born out of my personal frustration, as someone without an engineering or CAD background trying to learn 3D jewelry design. Over the years I have received many notes of great feedback. One of the common themes: many beginners get lost in the very basics of Rhino 3D and CAD design.
So, I’ve designed a Rhino course with these goals in mind. Check out Learning Rhino 3D in Eleven Simple Ring Band Projects.
You don’t need to have any prior background in Rhino. I will take you from the basics of the Rhino interface, and common Rhino commands and skills you will need to complete this course. This course comes in four parts. Begin with the basics and learning the Rhino interface. Next, dig into the essentials, with an overview of common Rhino commands and tools. In Rhino Skills, you will learn more complicated tools, once you have a better understanding of how the program functions. Finally, in the projects portion of the course, you will work through a set of increasingly complex ring projects. Begin with a plain wedding band, and finish with a set of custom engagement rings.
